Personal Statement
Athletics has shaped who I am by teaching me discipline, resilience, and perseverance through both success and setbacks. Competing throughout high school and into college came with pressure, challenges, injuries, and the demands of balancing athletics with academics. Those experiences affected my mental health at times, but they also taught me the importance of seeking support and leaning on others. Because of what I’ve learned, I’m excited to be a mentor and help younger athletes navigate challenges, build confidence, and know they don’t have to face difficult moments alone.
